This past Friday, the photo booth, Dave, and I were at Martini Park for A Kid Again’s Miracles and Magic Opening Night Party. A Kid Again, formerly Adventures for Wish Kids, “strives to enrich the lives of children with life threatening illnesses and their families by providing healing times of respite through [their] fun-filled group activities and destination events, which [they] call adventures.” The opening party was totally awesome with live performers such as world class magicians, champion bartenders, and performance artists. The photo booth got rocking about an hour into the evening and then had a line most of the evening.
Check out some of the awesome pictures!

This past Saturday Dave and I took a roadtrip up to Port Clinton to be part of the wedding between Carrie and Dave. Their wedding and reception were held at the beautiful Mon Ami Winery. What a party! The photo booth was in use the WHOLE night and there were some fantastic pictures taken inside. Buckle your seat belts….this is going to be a wild ride!
Let’s start with a little bride and groom action…

How about some kissy faces….

And a little snuggling…

Now it’s time to party…

Funny story…this next picture was taken right before the dad licked the little boy in the ear. The boy was so angry at his dad ruining his picture. And as we giggled he yelled at us, “It’s not funny.” Dude, it was so funny.

Man, this crew must have taken like 40 pictures inside the booth….

Even the incomparable Kitty Maer and her assistant got in on the action…

Thanks Carrie and Dave for having us at your event. We had a blast!!!
Two years ago I was starting my sixth year of coaching high school track and it was the first year I had a staff. I had another assistant coach and a volunteer. The volunteer, Mary, was a new, young teacher at the school and was one hell of a track star in her day. Seriously. I believe she finished third in the mile at state and went on to run at Columbia. Mary and I became instant friends and spent many days and many miles together. We even ran the Columbus Marathon together that next fall.
That summer Mary went on a blind date. A blind date that had been set up by one of her students. I remember the first meeting….she was kinda wishy washy about the whole thing. :) They continued to go on dates and she began warming up to him. I finallly met him and I totally approved. A few weeks ago I got a text from Mary….”We’re engaged!!!” Then I got another text, could I do the engagement pictures and soon? What was soon? Soon was a week later because Brad was shipping out the next day. Brad’s in the Navy and will be heading to Kuwait.
These pictures are so them. It’s so nerve-wracking to take pictures of your real friends, but you also can get it right because you know them so well. Mary and Brad, I hope you love these.

I love this pictures. Mary’s a Mets fan; Brad a Yankees fan. They’re both from Ohio. What gives? At least Mary lived in NYC for 6 years.

This picture screams, “BUY A HUGE CANVAS OF ME!!!!” My favorite.

Here’s a great story. Mary’s grandfather was in the Navy and she had a framed picture on her wall of her grandparents together with him in his uniform and she was in her trench. Mary wanted the picture recreated. I think we did a good job. First is her grandparents; second is Mary and Brad.

I LOVE shooting engagement pictures. I love the way they touch each other, look at each other, giggle at all the same times. I love that look.

Thanks so much to Gail, Ashley, Amberly, Jennifer, and the entire staff at Daytime Columbus for welcoming us and making us feel special.

While at the Columbus Bridal Show we were approached by the producer of Daytime Columbus to be on their show and promote VIP Photo Booths. After stirring over it for a few weeks we decided to go forward with it. Dave and I will be taping a segment on Friday to be aired the first week in February. We will update the blog when an air date is assigned.
VIP Photo Booths will be at the Perfect Wedding Guide’s Bridal Show on March 8th at the Hilton Polaris. We hope to see you all there.
Finally, as previously mentioned we have added a second photo booth and we are looking to book, book, book. We only have two dates filled: May 16th and August 29th. If you are interested in scheduling with us, give us a call (614-314-4794) or send us an e-mail (info@vipphotobooths.com).
VIP Photo Booths is excited to announce we are adding a second photo booth. Now we will be able to be at even more events. If you have an event coming up in 2009, give us a call today. Dates are filling up quickly.
VIP Photo Booths spent the weekend at the Columbus Bride Show. Despite being back in a corner, we had a great turn out, had 10 dates reserved on the spot and heard wonderful things about our business, our booth, and Dave and I ourselves. Thank you so much for your kind words.
We still have many dates in 2009 available and would love to fill those up. Our first event is not until the middle of May so if you have an event before then and would love to have a photo booth, give us a call! And if you were won of those bajillions of brides we met over the weekend who is getting married in 2010, it’s never too early to reserve your date. Right now we only have one photo booth so it’s first come, first served on your date.
We really appreciate your business and are looking forward to the new year.

I received a call from Rachelle, a friend of the McKees, a few weeks before the holidays. Her family was coming into town for Christmas and wanted to know if I would take a big family portrait. Sure! Of course, it was one of those days where the temperature only reached 6 degrees and we had to work inside. And of course, three of the kids were sick. But, we made the most of it and produced some cute images.
