On Mother’s Day I took some cute family pictures of the Larned family. Since the last time I took their portraits they had another super-cute baby. We took these pictures in their backyard and they turned out soooo beautifully. I hope you like them as much as I do.

I received a call from Rachelle, a friend of the McKees, a few weeks before the holidays. Her family was coming into town for Christmas and wanted to know if I would take a big family portrait. Sure! Of course, it was one of those days where the temperature only reached 6 degrees and we had to work inside. And of course, three of the kids were sick. But, we made the most of it and produced some cute images.

One of the hardest parts of my job is to narrow 500 pictures down to 30-60. It’s especially hard if you are meeting the couple/family/person for the first time and have no idea what pictures might reflect their personality. Not so with the Yordes. After all, their my niece and nephews. :) And these pictures are SOOO them.
If I titled my pictures, I would call this one “discovery.”
Strike a pose there’s nothing to it…
FAVORITE!!
How can you resist those smiles?
These next two crack me up…
I think my niece needs an agent…

Dave and I are so lucky to have friends like the Suttons. First off, they are the whole reason Dave and I are together, but they’re also great because they continue to think of us and be great friends even though their lives are completely different from ours. Their kids are three of the best behaved children I know. And cute!!
Thanks Suttons for being our friends.

I met Mindy when I was 7 or 8 and she was 5 or 6. We were both trying out for the gymnastics team together. She already had a year of competitive experience and this would have been my first year. We both made the team and were teammates for a couple years until she and I chose to continue our gymnastics at different gyms. When we got to high school I chose to do high school sports and she continued with her gymnastics, even getting a scholarship and competing in college.
It’s been a long time since those days and Mindy is now a mom. WOW!!! She now lives in Florida but was up for a visit and asked me to take some pictures of her son Bryden. Here are a few of my favorites.

I had the honor to photograph my best friends’ children today. Here’s one picture as a teaser.
