I loved Pete and Monique’s wedding. It was personal and intimate and broke all the rules. I have been to many, many weddings, but this one has got to rank as one of my favorites. And the reception totally rocked as the photo booth was the hit of the evening. Everyone was so quick to participate and ham it up. At the end of the night we had taken over 400 pictures!! Thank Mo and Pete for having us along for the fun.
Monique and Pete had their guests put their photo booth pictures into a scrapbook. It turned out soooo good!!
I have so many favorites from this wedding and I wish I could show them all. Here is a small select few.
What’s a wedding in Buckeye Country without a little, O-H-I-O?
What’s going on here?
I love families who really get it together!
Congratulations Monique and Pete!!!
Last weekend Dave and I headed down to North Bank Park Pavillion in downtown Columbus for Shannon and Julian’s wedding. Shannon and her Godparents and I had traded e-mails and phone calls for months regarding the photo booth. Now the time had finally come. The pavillion was decorated beautifully and the wedding guests seemed to be having a grand time. But for hours we had the booth set up and no one visited. We started to get concerned. Finally we talked to the coordinator and the DJ and in no time that booth was hopping.
Shannon and Julian, we had so much fun. Thanks again for having us!
I met Mindy when I was 7 or 8 and she was 5 or 6. We were both trying out for the gymnastics team together. She already had a year of competitive experience and this would have been my first year. We both made the team and were teammates for a couple years until she and I chose to continue our gymnastics at different gyms. When we got to high school I chose to do high school sports and she continued with her gymnastics, even getting a scholarship and competing in college.
It’s been a long time since those days and Mindy is now a mom. WOW!!! She now lives in Florida but was up for a visit and asked me to take some pictures of her son Bryden. Here are a few of my favorites.
Happy Holidays!

Thank you all for your continued support.
After one rained out session, we got a beautiful day last Tuesday for Vanessa and Billy’s engagement session. I am so excited to be capturing their wedding in September. There were so many good pictures from this session. Vanessa and Billy, I hope this quenches your thirst!
This next one was a happy accident. I was actually putting my camera away and it magically took this picture. And I love it!
And quite possible my favorite jumping picture of all time…
I have been putting it off for a long time, but now I think I have to do it.
I need to put together my portfolio.
Yikes! The problem is, I’m my own worse critic and I can never decide what pictures should go in it and therefore, I have no pictures in it.
I had dinner with a friend last night who suggested I let others decide what should go in it. So here’s where I need your help. If you like any of my pictures, tell me! Maybe it’s something you’ve seen on this blog or you’re a former client who has a favorite or two or maybe it’s something you’ve seen on my Flickr account. Please send me your suggestions: meredith@meredithgordon.com.
I try to ALWAYS carry my point and shoot camera with me. You never know what amazing things you might see and then want to take a picture of it. As Dave and I prepared for our triathlon Sunday morning, look at the beauty that was there to greet us.
Some of my images are available for purchase, including this one. You can find them here.
The photo booth was a hopping place at Holly and Matt’s wedding. And as the evening went on, the guest got a little frisky. I have never seen so many tongues!
Holly and Matt got married in a small beach ceremony in April. A few days before their wedding the airline they and their families were flying, Skybus, folded and alternative plans had to be made. They all piled into a van and headed down to Florida. Despite the threat of terrible storms and their logistical plans altered, their wedding turned out perfect.
Holly and Matt’s reception took place on May 31st at The Sanctuary in Gahanna. The evening was fun with lots of eating, dancing, and photo boothing (Part 2, stay tuned). Here are some of my favorite images.
And my very favorite…maybe of all time (yeah I realize I say that every time)!
One question I get asked frequently when booking sessions is “Where?” The McKee family initially asked me to shoot at a local park, but when we confirmed our plan we decided to shoot at their house. They told me they had a tree covered backyard with access to a creek.
OMG! No one told me they had their own park in their backyard. It was beautiful! And the access to the creek was more like a private launching area for a world of possibilities.
The McKee family was so laid back, they were great models, and could not have been more beautiful people both inside and out.
Here are some of my favorite pictures.
